Recognition of Sister Maria Luisa Piraquive by the Committee on Freedom of Religion and Conscience of Engativa, Bogota, Colombia – July 2025

On July 17, 2025, the Committee on Freedom of Religion and Conscience of Engativa granted special recognition to Sister Maria Luisa Piraquive, leader of the Church of God Ministry of Jesus Christ International, for her invaluable work in defending and promoting freedom of religion.

The award highlights the history of the CGMJCI, which was founded in the Las Ferias neighborhood of Engativa, Bogota, and is now present on five continents with more than 1,500 locations in 60 countries.

We thank the Committee for this recognition, which reflects the positive impact and testimony of our Sister Maria Luisa in favor of freedom of worship and the spiritual work.
